Omitron is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support the development, integration, maintenance, and operation of a web-enabled cloud-based application for a DoD customer.  The selected candidate will work among a geographically dispersed Agile development team.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain multiple DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Implement CD & CI solutions to support rapid development and integration.
  • Integrate static code analysis, testing, and security scanning mechanisms into pipelines.
  • Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Work with software and system engineers to apply automated test and documentation processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, pipeline automation, and infrastructure issues.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration management of release products.
  • Travel periodically to Colorado Springs, CO and Vandenberg, CA.
 
Minimum Requirements:
  • Citizenship: US Citizenship required
  • Clearance: No security clearance initially required; candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret-level clearance.  Continued employment is contingent on the employee’s ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level clearance. Preference will be given to candidates already possessing a clearance.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related discipline or 4+ years relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience: minimum 3 years of industry-related experience
    • Experience with source configuration management tools such as Git.
    • CI & CD development experience with technologies like Bash, Jenkins, or GitLab.
    • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, deployments, and maintenance.
    • Knowledge of Helm chart development, customization, and deployment.
    • Cloud Technologies deployment experience.
    • Open-source application deployments and maintenance.
    • Custom source application deployments and maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, web services, and NoSQL databases.
 
Desired Qualifications:
  • Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
  • Experience with distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services.
  • Experience developing and deploying web services.
  • Experience supporting software in a production environment.
  • Experience with Fortify and/or SonarQube.
  • Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar for automation and security tasks.
  • Proficiency in tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack for monitoring and log management.
 
Job Location
This is optionally a remote position.  The employee may support work remotely from anywhere within the United States.  If supporting remotely, the employee reports virtually to the Omitron regional office in Colorado Springs, CO.  Optionally, office space in Colorado Springs will be provided for the employee that prefers to work at an Omitron facility.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
