Responsibilities:
- Train on and operate multiple complex aerospace systems used to screen satellite orbits and assess spaceflight safety.
- Interface with multiple satellite constellation operators to deliver timely and actionable insights regarding identified hazards or anomalies in orbit.
- Troubleshoot basic failures and system anomalies while developing subject matter expertise in space environmental effects and spaceflight hazards.
- Coordinate with senior analysts and tiered support teams to develop and implement temporary operational procedures across all phases of the satellite lifecycle—including development, launch, on-orbit operations, passivation, and reentry.
- Maintain situational awareness of space traffic and provide analytical support to ensure mission success and space asset protection.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly security clearance to start
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Space Operations, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in space operations, aerospace analysis, or orbital safety.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in dynamic operational environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional and multi-agency teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with orbital analysis tools or space traffic management systems.
- Familiarity with satellite command and control systems and protocols.
- Prior experience coordinating with government or commercial space operators.
