Omitron is seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Junior Systems Analyst to join our team in supporting space operations, defense analysis, and system integration projects. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in aerospace engineering, programming, and orbital analysis and is looking to transition into systems analysis roles. You will work alongside experienced analysts and engineers to develop automated tools, analyze complex datasets, and support mission-critical decision-making processes.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business and system requirements in support of space situational awareness and defense operations.
- Monitor and evaluate satellite orbital states, maneuver detection, and potential threats using operational tools and custom-built software.
- Assist in the design, testing, and deployment of analytical tools that enhance system efficiency and reduce operator workload.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Maintain system documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to the automation of manual processes through Python scripting and GUI tool development (QT).
- Support system integration and data correlation efforts between various sensors and cataloged space objects.
Minimum Requirements:
- US Citizenship required
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 0-2 years' experience in a related field
- Proficiency in Python and experience with GUI frameworks such as QT.
- Foundational understanding of orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, and space object tracking.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting operations within military or national security environments.
- Familiarity with software tools such as STK and Astrodynamics Support Workstation.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases.
- STK certification or equivalent analytical training.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: $65,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors.
